Releases and maturity

The Edge AI Add-on is released as tagged versions of its Git repository and west manifest. Each release bundles libraries, tools, samples, and documentation at fixed component revisions and pins a compatible nRF Connect SDK revision in the west.yml file.

The versioning scheme follows Semantic versioning. Every tagged release is identified with a version string in MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH format. Axon NPU software and the nRF Edge AI Library use separate version streams inside each add-on release. For versioning details and compatibility rules, see Release model.

Each release is documented in the Release notes, with component-level changes in the Axon NPU changelog and nRF Edge AI Library changelog. The Software maturity page summarizes which features are supported or experimental in the current release. Any issues found after a release are listed on the Known issues page.
